One should notice that in the Bergfotron, as Jörgen was considering the 258
clone, I adviced him to reduce the circuit down as the JFET was no longer
needed considering what modern op-amp comes with if just choosing wisely.
Giving that, the core becomes very similar to that of modern oscillators.

Naa... you wouln't! ;O)
I would recommend you to look at the el-cheapo design of the Pearl Syncussion
SY-1. It has a few interesting twists to it to say the least. The method to get
sawtooth out of the triangle core is... eh... minimalistic! ;O)
The schematics isn't for the faint-hearted schematic reader, but the
experienced will get a smile or two out of it.
