I worked for the US distributor back in the day as a tech/salesguy...  
the Proz didn't scare me, it was *all* board-swap at that time. Palm  
was quite adamant about not allowing us to troubleshoot at board  
level. He wanted them all returned anyway.

And much as I loved the instrument (I had a 2, a 2.2, and finally a  
2.3), the firmware was always dodgy... especially the last revs when  
he added MIDI. Crash city for quite awhile.
