The real PPG has a much nicer filter than the 2.V, and it seems to be 
punchier too, for some reason. The wavetable stuff is very similar, but 
there's something a little too clinical about the 2.V.

I have a Microwave XT, and it's good for grunged up digital nastiness and 
assorted insane noises. But it's an abrasive ear-scratcher of a synth. 
Smooth is really not an option. And I don't like the envelopes - they sound 
too linear and not pokey enough.

If I had room and the spare cash I could live with a real 2.2. But given 
the choice I'd settle for some thread drift and get a Prophet T8 first - 
mostly for the Poly AT, which is performance gold dust.
