The transducer with the heavier wire gauge
(if you can see it) will be the driver, or the one
with the lower DC resistance.
You want to measure the impedance of the coils...
this can be hard to do unless you have the
test equipment to do so. I'd apply a 1KHz sine wave
to the transducer through a series resistor...and
measure
the voltages at both sides of the resistor. If you
know the voltage drop through the resistor, and the
resistance... you can calculate the impedance of the
coil.
