Another option (one unit I have) is the Novation Nova
VA Synth. A very good synth which I use on a daily
basis and in all my tracks. It has a very good built
in Vocoder (very clean and pure sound which you will
have to 'dirty' up if you want something sounding more
analog(ue). I think other Novation products have a
built in Vocoder too (SuperNova).
Alternatively, if you use VST type plugins, there are
many Vocoders available - The best one of which is the
Orange Vocoder (not used it myself).
An 'real' Vocoder is a mighty build :)
With so many simpler options available, it isn't
something I would want to build but best wishes if you
choose to do so.
