[sdiy] Patch cables?

yeah same here... i'm about to rearrange all my gear and was going to ask
for recommendations on a good quality, medium duty coax cable for studio
use.

 i'd like to see what people prefer as transparency goes as well as
recommendations for cable that might slightly color the audio as well...
since i'm down to that type of micromanagement now :)

for jacks i haven't decided yet, but i'll probably go with switchcraft or
similar.

This is a topic that I have not seen much of on the lists. I am looking to
make some patch cables but i cannot seem to find the type of wire that i am
looking for. Eveything at radio shack seems too stiff or too thin, does
anyone have any suggestions?
