Julian, The wasp cases where injection molded not vacuum formed. Vacuum
forming usually results in quite a thin flexible product, and not like the
hard reasonably thick and rigid case of the wasp. I have not seen any vacuum
forming that I would feel comfortable putting a synth inside.
These guys do one off injection molding from cad files
http://www.protomold.co.uk
but its not cheap... about £2000

Maybe do a Google for people in your area who do model
trains/cars/planes, OR possibly people who do movie special effects.
Vacuum molded bits are used quite a lot when a movie needs to
reproduce a prop (like a gun or helmet needed for a bunch of
'stormtrooper' extras). The "mold" for doing vacuum molding is quite
often made of wood as it is cheap and easy to carve into the desired
shape. A copy of Cinefex magazine may also have some pertinent ads for
people who do vacuum molding and/or supplies. If all else fails, hang
around wherever they shoot Dr. Who and start asking questions. ;-)
