Hi Matthias,
Are you certain that you'll need an HPGL editor? I don't use schaffer's
software, so I'm unsure how their import function works, BUT:
I use HPGL plot files every day for work. You can create these files from
any software you choose. I use AutoCAD and plot to file using the HP
Draftmaster II drivers to create my HPGL files. I can view them in OCE
Reprodesk, and I then ship them to our print shop. I downloaded the HP
drivers from HP's website, but they also come on a standard Windows install
disk.
It's possible that you could use any drawing program of your choice to
create the graphics, plot them to file and import it into schaffer's
software.
This is, of course, assuming you can import the HPGL file and add it to your
existing Schaffer design... instead of having to edit the entire faceplate
as a whole. Since I've never used their software, I'm unsure if this is
possible.... but hopefully it is!
Hope this helps,
Dave
