Yup - checked that out too. Can't remember what was the device used by
DOD, but I'm pretty sure it was from the Reticon product line and very
close relative to the BBDs - analogue shift register that is, not an
image sensor.
BUT I remember also 'rumours' of somebody successfully using these
image sensor CCDs for a delay line? Was it You Tom?!
