[sdiy] using CCD's as BBD's in audio circuits revisited

OK, a while ago I recall tossing around the idea of theoretically using a
CCD as a BBD. AT that point the discussion was merely academic since I
myself did not have any CCD's available to speak of to use in this manner.
Well now I have TWO (2) TCD1500C's - which are linear CCD's which I think
would be the ideal ones to use. I have another small one from a camcorder,
but the pin-spacing was narrow which precluded using proto-boards. I also
have some high-current MOS clock drivers too.
So really could I just set the circuit up like the datasheet shows and then
add in the low-pass filters and the clock that I want to use (CD4047) along
with the LFO (whatever I feel like - I have several on protoboard)?
I'm sending this after only a cursory glance at the datasheet. I'll post
more if anyone's interested.
