The USB to SCSI adaptors for PCs are really just SCSI adaptors that sit on
the USB bus.
It doesn't make much different to the PC if the SCSI card is on a USB bus or
a PCI bus.
The SCSI layer is the same.

But I think what you want to do is use a USB-SCSI interface to attach USB
storage devices to a sampler SCSI interface (?)
That isn't going to work - the interfaces are host adaptors, not protocol
convertors.
They'd need the intelligence to map SCSI block commands to a USB hard disk
class interface if you were going to be able to plug a flash stick into your
Akai.
