I don't think so.
I suspect it belongs to the class of force sensors that have
a field of tiny deformable conductive points. These widen under pressure,
increasing contact area & hence reducing resistance.

It would be possible to combine a conductive strip with
printed contact technology to give position strip, but I can't
think of an existing product at the moment.

For standard pressure sensing situations, I think QTC might be
the best: http://www.peratech.co.uk/sensors.htm
available from Maplins, of all places.

Maby it's actually possible to DIY too. It seems that it's only a couple of
carefully connected strain gauges.. Has anyone done such a thing?
