Hallo!

After building two mouse converters (Atari/Amiga mouse and PS2-mouse / see my
webpage) I made a new approach for Roland sampler controllers:

I have two touchpad and one trackball out of old notebooks.
On the Synaptics webpage I found a "touchpad interfacing guide" that tells
that the touchpads have a PS/2 mouse interface with 5V levels.
So they can be directly connected to the PS2-to-MSX mouse converter mentioned
on my webpage. So I took an old PS/2 mouse cable, soldered it to the touchpad
wires and connected it to the S330.

And?

It works perfectly!

So if you don't have enough space near your midi keyboard for a mouse you can
use a touchpad or trackball (by using a PS2-to-MSX mouse interface!!!

Ciao
Peter
