Hi Dusting
The attack (A) is activated as ascending ramp until reaches the limit of device, starting a descendent ramp of decay (D).
When decay ramp reaches the level of sustain (S), the voltage remain constant while the key is pressed. When the keyboard key (or other device) is released, the voltage follow the descendent ramp of release (R), finalizing the ADSR function.
Maybe the most clear example is a organ with percussive attack.
I hope been clear, otherwise don't hesitate to contact me

I have seem envelope generators that take 2 AD/AR envelope generators and create 1 ADSR eg, how is this done ? This seems to be a great and flexible design to me, but i am not able to wrap my hear around the concept.
