Will it be possible to buy regular ol' 60/40 Pb/Sn solder in EU after 
ROHS kicks in this year? If not, what are electronics weenies supposed 
to do? What are the Pb-free alternatives, and are they suitable for use 
on a non-industrial scale?

Just wondering - I'll bet ROHS or something like it comes to the US 
eventually, even if only by default so our (dwindling) tech industry can 
continue to sell to EU.

PS - My father is a pipe-organ builder and I spent the first 22 years of 
my life around high concentrations of Pb used for organ pipes. It >tick< 
hasn't >tick< affected me one >tick< bit.  :)
