Here's the Wikipedia entry :
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C64_Direct-to-TV

There's one for sale on Amazon right now. They may be out of production. I
can't quickly find the interview where she specifically said she couldnt (
of course ) implement the analog filter stages on the FPGA but she did bring
the connections out so they could be hacked. The C64DTV is extremely hacker
friendly. Keyboard and drives can be added by tacking to the appropriate
solder pads etc.

I never bothered to hack mine since its far easier to hack on an original
C64 and they are a lot more plentiful and lower cost.

Jeri, who designed the C64DTV, is still around online and contactable. The
possibility might exist to get the fresher FPGA code from her if someone
asked nicely. I think she developed that before her contract work.
How about an octal SID with hooks for external filters...

Actually, a quick look at the CommodoreOne website shows she hasnt tweaked
the code since 2004. Binaries are available. I'll point out the
CommodoreOne also, it has a rather complete ( understatement ) SID clone on
board and has hooks to either use the filters of a pair of added original SID
chips, or supposedly it has hooks to do more audio routing.
