SSM2164 quad VCA package seems like it might fit the bill but I don't
know how inexpensive they are, all mine came as free samples from those
nice people at Analog Devices :<)) They need just a handful of external
components if you are careful. Use two VCA sections per channel for
linear response as per Mike Irwin's excellent design.Google SSM2164 and
youll find lots of stuff Charlie Lamm has done a nice job with it
amongst others: www.charlielamm.com/synth/duallinearvca.php
Hope this helps

Subject: [sdiy] VCAs Quantizers
Howdy,
I want to try to make 2 MXR 31 band EQs into a
vocoder. Where can one obtain inexpensive VCAs?
Are there any economical kits out there for a voltage
quantizer to use with sequencers? Thanx
Rig
