It should be noted that the MN32XX is not only the low voltage equivalent of
the MN30XX, but it is also powered by opposite Vdd polarity. MN32XX is
N-channel, MN30XX is P-channel, if I'm not mistaken. I'm assuming Bob
modified the circuit to accommodate this. If he didn't, I'm surprised the
smoke fairy didn't show up.
I've used Visual Sound and Panasonic MN3207/MN3102 interchangeably. I've
not noticed a difference between the two. I'm assuming Visual sound devices
are custom labeled Shanghai Belling stock.
