A bad lot? Or moisture creeping in?

I find it hard to believe that a IEC contact would get hot when there is 
only ~20W -> 100mA going through it. The contact would have to be very 
bad for this to matter. On anything high power, without doubt this would 
be an issue.

Maybe you should dremel up the filter and have a closer look.
