Expansion to lots of the I/O pins. It is a goofy sort of connector, but it has 
like 200 pins on it! Remember, this is a BGA part with a zillion I/O pins on it 
(I think the pcb is 10 layers...eck).

Ack! All you need is a cheesy PC running XP. I got a Dell Outlet PC for the wife 
to do email and it has like 2.4Ghz, 512K with DVD and crappy video (who cares?) 
for like $230, free shipping. You can probably get $75 ones locally off 
craigslist. Borrow $$$ from Charles :)
