Well, I've finally found a bit of time to start putting together my
Box-O-Trix :)

I've come across my first major design oversight .. after having
painstakingly drilled all the panel holes, done all the graphics, and
mounted all the panel hardware, I found that I couldn't fit the top
panel into the case because the jack sockets don't fit internally with
the front panel sockets .. doh!

Anyway, I've found a nice workaround that I'm rather pleased with .. the
top panel is now mounted at a steeper angle on clear plastic (perspex)
sides. This will make all the innards visible when it's finished. You
can see a preview here:

For those other people who have Boxes-O-Trix to build themselves, first
please note the above and don't try and build it exactly like my
Photoshop mockup! I have now updated the parts list page with more
detailed parts info, and I've added some text to the schematic page
describing the resistor selection process in the JFET distortion circuit.

Any other questions with parts selection, building & setup process, just
email me. I'll put more info up on the website as I'm asked questions,
so check back there as well.

Happy building .. and please send me photos or links of your various
Boxes-O-Trix.

Seb
