It is possible KRL just sandbagged the guy.

It works like this:

Business is down, Sales asks production for a lead time. Production  
says "Sure, we're not busy, we will make a run of 400 of the oddball  
value". They take the order.

Then suddenly, business picks up, now production is crying "We don't  
have time to screw around with your lousy 400 piece order". The  
original lead time quote is out the window.

This guy is trying to call Sales to get an answer, Sales won't return  
his phone calls because Production won't give them a delivery date.

He can't give anybody a delivery date, because no one will give him a  
delivery date.

I bet you Metrophage is cursing himself for a damn fool for ever  
volunteering to do a good deed in the first place.

And thus is innocence replaced with wisdom and why your hair turns gray.
