[sdiy] Question about N-channel Jfet

Connect DVM between Gate and Source.
Connect 9V battery to Drain (+) and to Gate (-).
DVM displays Gate voltage for very low drain current
(current thru DVM), which is very close to zero, where
the actual threshold voltage of a FET is defined.

Hi,

Probably a newbie question but I don't know much about
Jfets. For a schematic I need to select a BF245 for a
threshold of 4 - 5V. How should I do it? Is there a
small testschematic I can use it in to measure the
threshold?
