No experience with the unit you mention but I'd think a more musical
approach might be to make the minor notes, major.  So..

C# is a minor second, so make a major second which would be D
D# would be the minor third, so make it a major third which would be E.
G# is a minor 6th so make it major which would be A.
Bb is a minor seventh so make it major 7th  B

What you do with F# is a bit harder. b5th's are more common than #4th
so I'd go with G.

For chords I'd use the same approach but maybe make the 2nds into
3rds, 4ths into 5ths, 6ths into 5ths and 7ths in Octaves.
