dont know how professional you want to do it, but i´ve had good results
with fine-sanding the aluminum,
priming it, spraypainting it twice in a color of my choice, adding
legends with waterslide decals and then applying several layers of
clearcoat.
it might be advisable to finesand between layers to get a really smooth
finish.
it worked very well for me.
the primer makes the paint stick very well. you might consider baking
the panels in an oven too...
