It's time for a round of Guess That Chip!
Any DIY'er worth his solder ought to be able to recognize this
characteristic sound. Hint: it's not an XR-2206 =-D
This often jeered and sneered at mystery device, which is often spotted
molding forgotten and alone in countless parts bins, has in fact inhabited
at least one successful commercial module, plus a handfull of DIY mini-synth
thingies. Here it is, controlled by a V/Oct keyboard, being played through,
and contributing its own bit of control to, a Rene Schmitz 2040 filter
clone.
