I used 9100pf silvered mica caps which I get surplus for a buck or two.
Might also want to look at larger value Polystyrene caps, they're huge but
so is a 9100pf mica...

If there is interest I could swing down and pick up some more of the Mica
caps if they have some left.  I didnt see much difference between a .01uf
mylar cheap crappy cap and the 9100mica as far as VCO range.
