I have / had a slight tinnitus. 8kHz, 14dB above the threshold of hearing,
on one ear.
It's _mostly_ compensated, i.e. my brain filters it out.
I went thru hell for 1/2 year, though.
When exposed to loud noise, the tinnitus tends to come back temporarily.
Maybe that's why I'm so obsessed with silence.
Oh yes, good old Edgar Allan. I loved to read his stories when I was young.
And I don't have a clock in the studio either. And no heart beating in my
basement floor, honestly! 8-)
