[sdiy] Duh. Major sequencer tuning, realization. :O

For those of you who've downloaded the 'Recording3.wav' file from my webpage
over the last couple of days - I presume at least some of you may've noticed
the (cough cough, ahem) 'tuning problem' in it? ;)
I hadn't realized until AFTER I'd setup the sample on my webpage - that I
had 1 too many resistors, around my rotary switches. :O
12 semitones to an octave. Right? ;) 12 steps in a rotary switch, for 1
semitone PER. Right? ;) ;)
This does NOT mean, 12 resistors of the the same value around the rotary
switch! :O
It took me a while to realize that the 1st and 12th switch positions are
NOT, 1 octave (I.E. - C to C) as I had all 4 rotary switches set up for. :(
I removed the 1st resistor from the 1st rotary switch, to straighten out the
tuning, over 1 octave. (From C to B). Now I'm having a really weird
problem. :(
Every semi-tone from C to F is in tune, at the moment. But the NEXT rotary
switch position gives G, instead of F#. The next one after that, gives A,
instead of G. And the 3rd position after that, almost gives the next C. :(
All 11 resistors are 121R 1%, and within 1R, all around.
Scratching my head. Anyone have any ideas?
I'm going to check the 'keyboard interface' in Barry Klein's book, on my way
to work, to see what could gone wrong. :( As well - try a different rotary
switch, for the same thing, tomorrow - in case the one I'm working with -
has a resistance problem. (It IS, 10 years old. that could be it. :( )
Thanks for any thoughts. :)
