The NE5517 would be better called a cross for the
LM13600, because the buffer bias is variable like the
13600 (not fixed like 13700). It HAS a different connection...
there is a current mirror stage between the Gm bias and the
output buffer.
The LM13600 IS obsolete but there is a cross..
NJM13600 (New Japan Radio)
2SC3381 has seven pins, separate emitters unlike the
2SC1583 (common emitter pin). So you can use the
2SC3381 in applications like (Moog) Ladder Filter rungs,
as well as expo conversion.
LM324, 358 'may' run on a bipolar supply but not recommended.
There is crossover distortion if you do (input level independant, at
the zero cross). I'd list these as "single supply" preferred.
I believe that On Semi (iirc) is second sourcing the NE5517, 5517A
now. It is in production. Phillips fab for that part burned down :^(
