That's always been my choice; it used to be easy to find in small
quantities, in varying sizes and at very low prices, but not so
anymore. Some was good for use with small tube circuits. US$4 to
US$7, or much more, that some places are charging for a little 3" x 6"
board is ridiculous; it's a form of downright highway robbery that
would make Sargent Bilko envious.
