Wow… thanks for all the great advice!

I have glanced through and bookmarked all the links. I have tons of  
homework to do before I get started on the Fatman, I really don't  
want to botch it. I'm not sure what RoHS is, Google turned up  
Restrictions on Hazardous Substances. Does this refer to lead in  
solder mixtures? I have a really cheap $10 Canadian Tire soldering  
iron handy, will this get the job done for now?
