Hi peoples,
 Im relatively new to the synth DIY thing and just
getting started building a small midi filter box from
some doepfer modules and a polydac.

I was wondering if there are any pitfalls to using a
non metallic material for front panels and synth cases
in regards to electrical problems.

ex carbon fibre / plexiglas / typical pcb board
materials

Would the general pitfalls be a lack of RF shielding
and induced noise ? 
or would you also have earthing issues, I notice most
synths have some earth connections going to the case.
