(sorry I can't resist... :^)

The best breadboard would be

Vector 169P84WE with T42-1 uhhh...
contact pins.

You press the pins into the board and solder them.
They work great and will not come apart until you
unsolder them. You can cut the terminals off a baord
and re-use it if you like. Alternately you can stuff
the completed board behind a front panel and have a
finished unit.

OK (i'm an @ss :^)

Look at the post from Aaron Lanterman's class
about the performance issues. Lose the
"white-nylon slab-o'-trouble" and do yourself a big
favor.

(or invite me to a steaming mug of STFU...)
