[sdiy] Pcb layout software - what do you use?

Personally, I find (as a pre-computer old fart)
that there is far too steep a curve to any 'full feature'
PCB software.
But the real question is... what do you want to do?
If you want to get your boards made by PCB Express, you
use their proprietary (free) software.
PCB companies in Australia & Asia want Protel.
The early AUTOTRAX is free.
In Europe they will take Eagle.. if your board is small &
simple enough, the free demo will do it.
Finally, plenty of people use simple drawing programs.
There is a lot of discusion about this, also DIY board etching,
at the DIY Stompbox forum www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/
One good piece of advice though.... NEVER use automatic routing
for analog.
