Hello Yves,

This kind of effect sounds especially good if the envelope has a  
logarithmic curve.  The log curve sounds more like the way musicians  
and singers naturally glide into a note.

I don't know what it should be called.  I usually call this type of  
pitch envelope effect a "pitch blip".
