3U is tight for an MS-20. If you're going to discard the original
front panel, I would suggest you add at the minimum the following :

- output jack for each VCO,

- CV in jack for each VCO,

- input/output jacks for the mixer,

- input/output jacks for each VCF,

- a third CV jack and pot for each VCF, preferably bipolar (i.e.
  -5~+5 instead of 0~10),

- a couple additional VCAs,

- a couple additional mixers.

That would give you VCO->VCO FM, VCO->VCF FM, dynamic VCO mix, LPF
into HPF, parallel LPF + HPF.

The MS-20 has a big potential that remains hidden for lack of
flexibility in the routing. Ironic for a synth which is covered
with jacks...
