;)

I believe it was subatomic glue who did the research about this,
regarding the higher gain 733K variant and what difference it made to
the sound at Q8. He was very thorough with his tests and included
both high gain 733k's and low gain 733p's. As it turns out the
*pitch* of the resonance rises relative to the CV signal with a lower
gain 733 at Q8, and this produces a more "authentic" 303 sound. You
do loose a little bit of volume on the rez, but thats easy to fix with
a smaller resistor at R179. It is still possible that high gain 733's
are a good idea at the other critical points, all of mine are 330 or
more.

"is that what you did for yours? is that what's on the sample you sent
me two days ago?"

Indeed :) I've also got a 200 ohm resistor in the PSU which adds a
little bit of wobble which you can hear when I tweak the knobs about
2/3rds of the way through.

The only thing left for me is tweak the saw wave, I'm still not happy
with the quality of the sound I'm getting, it really doesn't sound
much like all the old acid tracks I have.. too much body to the sound
(.. tempting the peanut gallery with that one..) and doesn't blend as
well with the rez.
