This will lead almost certainly to disaster. I have read of similar
experiments. The HD usually dies. Apart from the points already mentioned,
there are usually some pressure-only contacts, frequently of a rubber like
material, that simply cannot be soldered up, and probably would not like
either the acrylic, or the whatever the chosen cooling medium.
The "easiest" solution is to put the computer in the next room and run a few
wires through a hole in the wall.
