Forget fanless PC PSUs , most of them are not reliable at all , warm up a lot
too...Good fanless psu are over expensive (Yesico) ...
Prefear to this a GOOD PSU with a silent Fan like the Seasonic S12 but 500 or
600W series only !!! Avoid lower power ones , they are not of the same quality
design!
PSU is not responsible of all your PC noise , just 1/4 to 1/3 of it !!!
Like you i had a Jet instead of a PC, so as it was time to change it, i have
builded a silent new one with 1 fan inside only : the S12 PSU ...
I use a Zalman Reserator 2 passive watercooling for cpu, vga and northbridge. It
eliminate the noise and the heat inside the PC case... In fact the worst noisy
thing remain the hard drive ! It produce an ugly noise, but usualy masked by
all other computers fans... I have encapsulated it into a Scythe Silent drive
box The result is a amazing silent computer and i can even ear me thinking
when i use it now:)
Cheers,
Marc B.
