They are quite small, at least for 20x20.
If you're determined to go for such a small size, be sure that you also get
pins with resistors inside - shorting pins are practically worthless for
a Synthi-style matrix.

I have located a UK distributor for audio patch panels, very similar to
the EMS VCS3/AKS.
They are Ghielmetti Model 321 with 20 rows and 20 columns. The panel
measures 99x99mm and it comes with 20 plain connecting pins. They are
NOT exact replacements, but are useful to any Synth DIYers.
Price? Well just £105 plus VAT and postage. If you want the dark grey
vertical stripes on the front panel to make patching easier it costs
another £80. I'll be buying the plain one...
If anyone is interested contact me off list for details of how to order
directly in the UK, and pictures of the panel.
