Favorite software synths:

- SoundForum

- Bristol, which emulates the following synthesizers: Moog Mini, Moog
  Voyager, Sequential Circuits Prophet-5, Roland Juno-6, Yamaha DX-7
  (more like an FM-7?), Hammond (single manual), Hammond B3 (dual
  manual), Vox Continental, Fender Rhodes.  A nice reprentation of all
  the knobs and switches, etc., along with memory presets, etc. appear
  on the screen, which one can twiddle with the mouse.
