Many technicians I've worked with use cyanoacrylate adhesive (aka Krazy Glue). It's non-conductive, bonds well without prep, and if you need to remove it later, there's a solvent that dissolves the glue away. Oh, and it's known to dry pretty quickly, too.

Removability is something that silicone or epoxy cannot provide, which I think is a strong point in CA's favour.
