I have a limited number of PC boards and programmed Atmel ATTINY2313 chips,
which can be used to build two different projects:
1) A standalone MIDI Monitor with a 16x2 LCD display. You send in MIDI, it
displays the hex codes on a scrolling screen. The display is backlit,
though this is not recommended for battery usage due to the power drain of
the backlight.
2) An add on to the PSIM module that gives you MIDI I/O support and a
backlit 16x2 LCD display. You write educational MIDI Sysex codes from the
PSIM to the display, and it will display your text - very useful for a
generically programmable module like the PSIM.
My partner in this development, Dave Brown, has a nice web page on it here:
http://modularsynthesis.com/cvs/cvs.htm.
This project is an outgrowth of the Computer Voltage Source project, which
is designing an expanding BASIC programmable synthesizer PC Board that uses
the BasicMicro AtomPRO-28. BasicMicro site: http://www.basicmicro.com/.
You can join the Yahoo group here:
http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/ComputerVoltageSources/?yguid=92257753.
Most of the files for this project are located there.
Cost is $15 for the starter kit, which includes PC board Rev. X00,
programmed Atmel ATTINY2313, four 1/4 inch #2/56 screws for mounting the LCD
inconspicuously to a black faceplate, and four hard to find #2 washers.
Shipping is extra for orders outside of the US and Canada. Additional parts
for these boards cost about $36 from Mouser for the LCD function including
LCD and $12 for the MIDI function including high quality MIDI connectors, or
about $3 if you use the standard MIDI connectors.
Email me for payment details.
This is not affiliated in any way with the business SynthModules.com or
