sounds like a bad idea, imho

The harmonics of the rise time of the clock would be WAY WAY
out of the LPF passband after the BBD...

and having the edges move slowly would (imho) probably cause
losses in the BBD as the S/H stages open and close slowly. Aperture
time would be skewed.

I think JH is on the right track... and imho I'd slam the gates as
hard as I could...
