I replied directly of course so I'm just repeating myself for the benefit of
the list.

Alpha parts are generally ROHS these days.

No picture, but I'm asking for a quote on the standard 16mm Alpha pot.
Should look just like this :

Except with a 4th pin for the tap.

Steve D. is out of the office for a week so I won't get a firm quote and
delivery time for at least a week. Delivery could be as long as 12weeks.
I'd rather expect it will be less then that, but gotta mention it anyway.

For those that have asked, no, no chance at all on a knurled shaft. I hate
them with a passion.

I've asked for Center Detent. I know on these pots its not hard to pop the
cover off and remove the detent and even with the detent in place it should
work for the majority of applications. Wouldnt want to go into production
on something where I had to remove the tap on each, but for low-volume or
hobby-oriented that is an option.

Why Alpha? I think I've mentioned this before. The pots are cheap and they
have a decent feel. Getting a Spectrol or Bournes part would bump the price
up enough where the cash outlay would be prohibitive. If the Alpha price is
as expected, there is enough interest where with a little help I can fund
the whole order. I am however contacting other suppliers to see just how
much more a conductive plastic part would be. Might get lucky...
