May I suggest, in lieu of Bad Berka, the gathering be held in lovely Mount Hope, KS, USA? We have fairly reliable power and our basement can accomodate as many German Synth DIYers as required (please bring your own sleeping bag). Early mornings will not be wasted sleeping, as my seven year old lab assistant is quite adept at shaking even the most ardent sleeper from his morning slumber.
Breakfast will be served by our charming Vietnamese/American matron (those with fish/squid allergies must present a notarized, translated document specifying diet restrictions). The local beer is a fabulous, watery 3.2% alcohol German-name-sounding lager. If you shake the can long enough, it'll provide a wonderful head when poured into a frosty mug (frosted mug $1.00 extra). Not available on Sundays.
The outside of the facility affords a nice view of a freshly turned wheat field, and, if one times things just right, there could be a guest appearance from one our local celebrity tornados (not responsible for personal property damage).
The temperature lately has been hovering around a comfortable 105 degrees, measured on our exotic Fahrenheit scale. Those with wind controllers will be pleased to experience our vigorous south wind, perfect for controlling those very wide Tangerine Dream filter sweeps, providing, of course, the desired filter sweep is wide open, then fading gradually as midnight approaches.
Mount Hope is within easy traveling distance of Germany. Simply go to Frankfurt International Airport, hop an airliner to Chicago OHare, get a connecting flight to Wichita (home of the famous BTK killer) Incontinent Airport, grab a taxi ride to Bud Horsches pig farm three miles south of Andale, rent a mule, take a left turn at the cottonwood tree, pay the local gendarme the required bribe, and you're there!
So, what say ye? Makes Bad Berka sound pretty....well, bad, right?
Taking reservations,
Scott
