unless they used pins 5,6,7,8 as the
first stage.

Personally I'd suggest the 4558 opamp
instead of the 5532. The 5532 is a power hog
and not really ideal for battery operation.

The 5532 needs very low input resistors to
be of much benefit. (like a 600 ohm balanced
mic input)

In a guitar project, the
4558 will probably work better
