Hi Chrissy

(are you married ??? we have a shortage of ladies
here at s-diy :^)

Matching the fets will make the notch in the output
more deep... giving a more dramatic sound.

It should not be an issue in not getting signal
through
the first stage

The first stage is biased at 5.1V DC

Check the DC output level of the first stage for a
clue

Also make sure that the 22K mix pot is wired
correctly... it might be shorting out the first stage
output if it is wrong.

I will spare you my rant about the worthlessness
of solderless breadboards... for now :^P

Keep us informed of your progress. Aaron's class has
been some of the most fun we've had around here for
a while and everyone is thrilled with it. Glad to
assist.

H^) harry (who incidently... worked on a phase
shifter just like this on when I was in college.
<ed note... some time ago>
There was no one to tell me you had to mix in the
original and shifted signal to get the phased sound.
I just got vibrato... until I bought / reverse
engineered an MXR Phase 90 :^)
