If I may be so bold, what are the drawbacks of your design versus
Rene's? I ask since I coincidentally have a PCB layout finished and
was preparing to etch a board.

I was interested to see the CV tuning feature in Rene's design; I
had intended to add something similar. Any suggestions for those
planning to commit your horrible design ideas to hardware? ;)
